Fukrey 3 Unveils New Character Posters: Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma Shine; Ali Fazal’s Absence Leaves Fans Yearning

The highly-anticipated release of “Fukrey 3” has sent fans into a frenzy as the film’s team announced the trailer’s impending launch set for Tuesday. On the eve of this exciting revelation, the filmmakers treated fans to fresh character posters featuring the beloved cast.

The newly released posters offer a glimpse into the quirky world of “Fukrey 3.” In one poster, Varun Sharma’s character dons a peacock costume, adding a splash of eccentricity to the mix. Pulkit Samrat, suspended from a log with an astonished expression, adds to the intrigue. Pankaj Tripathi adopts a relaxed posture in another poster, while Manjot Singh pulls a comical face. The final poster showcases Richa Chadha, radiantly flashing a victory sign while holding a cutout of her character, where she folds her hands in a cheerful gesture.

Yet, amid the excitement, fans couldn’t help but feel a void left by the absence of Ali Fazal’s character, Zafar. Social media buzzed with fans expressing their longing for Zafar’s return. Comments like “Where is Zafar Bhai?” and “Where is Kaptaan?” echoed the sentiment, with one Instagram user straightforwardly asking, “Why is Ali Fazal not there?” Ali Fazal had portrayed the iconic character of Zafar in the first and second installments of the film franchise.

Ali Fazal had previously shared his reasons for not appearing in “Fukrey 3.” In a statement earlier this year, he explained, “So, will Zafar make an appearance or not? Everyone keeps asking the same question. Sorry, my friends, not this time! Sometimes, Zafar has to become Guddu bhaiya, and these two universes occasionally overlap.” He assured fans of his continued involvement with the franchise and added, “Once a fukra, always a fukra, so I am around. But I won’t be on screen for the third outing of the Fukras, Bholi, and Panditji!”

He further elaborated, “I would have wanted to be a part of it, but my schedule didn’t allow me to. I will return at some point in the future, perhaps sooner than you expect. Zafar will be back after a brief detour to entertain you all.” Ali Fazal currently portrays Guddu Pandit in the popular series “Mirzapur.”

As anticipation continues to build, “Fukrey 3,” the third installment of this beloved comedy-drama franchise, is set to hit theaters on September 28. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner, the film promises to deliver the same desi comedy charm that has endeared it to audiences since its debut in 2013. Originally slated for a December 1 release, the film was rescheduled to September 28, having initially been planned for a September 7 release on the occasion of Janmashtami.
