Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara’s Upcoming Flick “Jawan” Secures U/A Certification from CBFC

The much-anticipated cinematic offering starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, titled “Jawan,” has at last clinched the U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film has successfully navigated the scrutiny of the Censor Board, albeit with seven significant alterations. A viral online sensation, a snapshot of the censor board certification lays bare the modifications undertaken within the film, which boasts a runtime of approximately 169.18 minutes. Among the changes are several dialogue revisions and the recalibration of intense sequences, all pointing to Shah Rukh Khan’s resplendent comeback. A pivotal adjustment was recommended for a scene involving suicide, resulting in a notable reduction in its duration.

In parallel, the Censor Board proposed the omission of another graphic scene, with the production team duly complying. The conclusive version states, “Eliminated the depiction of a decapitated body…” Substantial alterations were also executed in certain dialogues, as the report specifies, “Adequately refined the contextually inappropriate reference to the Honorable President of India, substituting the dialogue with ‘Head of State’.” Another noteworthy revision pertains to the phrase “paida hoke,” which has also undergone a transformation.

The viral document circulating online also reveals, “Appropriately adjusted the phrase ‘Ungli karna’ to ‘Usse use karo’ (wherever applicable)…” The proliferating online presence of the censor certificate has led to its dissemination across various social media platforms. Notably, the film has also made adjustments to mentions of the NSG (National Security Guards), replacing them with IISG whenever they arise.

Helmed by director Atlee, “Jawan” will additionally feature Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover. Making a special appearance, Deepika Padukone will grace the screen as well. Backed by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies, the film “Jawan” is slated for a theatrical debut on September 7. Audiences can anticipate its release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions. The promotional campaign thus far encompasses a teaser, multiple posters, and a pair of melodic compositions from the film, all of which have garnered commendable appreciation from viewers.
